New Community at Barton

WE ARE CREATING A NEW COMMUNITY AT BARTON

WE WANT YOUR IDEAS TO INFORM OUR PLANS

The City Council is working in partnership with Grosvenor to deliver between 800 and 900 new homes, new facilities for the community, and recreational space on land to the west of Barton.  40% of the new homes will be affordable.

We held events in Barton, Headington and Northway in July 2012 and have now developed a new masterplan for the new community.  An outline planning application will be submitted to Oxford City Council in early 2013.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The land to the west of Barton will be the largest residential development in Oxford. It is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to provide new homes and community facilities to ensure that a happy, thriving and vibrant new community is created in this part of Oxford.
